About Me

Hi! My name is Margaret

My art combines my love of drawing, sewing & printmaking. My mom patiently taught me to sew when I was very young and my passion for printmaking started way back in high school. This lead me to a career in the fashion industry as a surface designer.

A few years back I wanted to explore “drawing with thread” so I did a 100 day project practicing free motion stitching. I started by stitching a flower, then an owl and then I stitched a monster one day and another monster the next day and the next day… at last count there are 178 monsters! I loved the medium so much it’s become a big part of my work, with many growing collections as an outcome.

The current focus of my work is mono printing. I enjoy printing with fruit, vegetables and found objects such as pine cones. I regularly post time lapse videos of my printing process on Instagram. Check out my fruit / vegetable printed pouches in my shop.

I create art that I hope is relatable. If it makes you smile or brings back a happy memory, I’ve done my job!
